ScrumMaster International Trainer is a pneumatically powered, automated scrum simulator.
It has a steel chassis upon which sits a fiberglass cover/tank that can be filled with water to provide more mass
as well as protection against collision with the trainer. The International’s pads are mounted on air cylinders that
extend from the machine. When engaged these cylinders further extend and simulate the opposing pack with
realistic forces and angles of push.
The automated settings can perform any scrummaging technique including a
“snap shove”, a “Wheel” and slow build up of pressure as favored by the highly regarded Argentineans. There are
also two modes that allow for strength training exercises; one for individuals and one for the entire pack. The
manual setting allows the operator to apply a known force, read the power applied by the pack and dictate the
direction of a wheel.
Whether in Manual or one of the automated Training Modes, the International will sense the
strength of the user group, and, if they are being substantially overpowered, it will shut down to allow the
settings to be lowered or the users to redouble their efforts on the next attempt. Movement of the International
is governed by a pneumatic system to ensure controlled movement at all times.
The ScrumMaster International comes with 5 year warranty (warranty does not include consumables, i.e. pad covers).
